Tilda Swinton attended “The Room Next Door” premiere during the 62nd New York Film Festival held yesterday in New York.
Turning heads, the “Doctor Strange” star sported a striking pair of bright red pumps. The thespian’s shoe pick featured glossy bright red patent leather uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped toes and 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels. The pop of color was a welcomed one, breaking up all the monochrome black elements in Swinton’s ensemble.
Many brands featured red pumps including Acne Studios, Saint Laurent Nine West, Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana, among others. No matter the color, classic pumps have a place in just about everyone’s wardrobes. Endlessly versatile and dressy, the silhouette can be paired with just about anything from denim to dresses.
As for her outfit, the thespian donned a maxi-length skirt in a structural style and a black slouchy sweater. Swinton also wore a plethora of statement jewelry in neutral tones. The monochromatic look benefitted from the pop of color Swinton introduced via her footwear.
When it comes to footwear, Swinton’s style is sharp and artistic. The “Three Thousand Years of Longing” star often wears sharply pointed pumps for formal occasions, as well as pointy mules and stiletto-heeled sandals in a range of hues.
When off-duty, Swinton slips on flat-soled sneakers from brands including Vans and Louis Vuitton. Outside of shoes, the actress has also served as a muse and ambassador for numerous brands, including Chanel, Schiaparelli and Haider Ackermann.
“The Room Next Door” is a 2024 drama comedy film set to release on Dec. 20 directed by Pedro Almodóvar. The film follows a best-selling writer who reconnects with her mother after losing touch with her for a number of years. The film enlists the help of talents like Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Alvise Rigo and John Turturro, among others.
