Tim McGraw to Star in Untitled Bull Riding Netflix Series
Tim McGraw is set to star in an upcoming Netflix drama series that focuses on the world of bull riding, according to Deadline.
The country music icon and actor will head up the as-of-now untitled series. The move was revealed during Netflix’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday. The series will be written and created by Brandon Camp, who will serve as co-showrunner for the project alongside Taylor Elmore.
While not much is known about the series, it will follow “a megastar champion (Tim McGraw) facing a life-or-death crossroads when confronted by the arrival of a fearless young rider whose very existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past,” according to its logline.
McGraw continues to branch out into acting
McGraw is no stranger to appearing in film and TV projects, having done brief cameos or appearances in films like Friday Night Lights, Flicka, and The Blind Side. Recently, McGraw appeared in two episodes of the hit drama Yellowstone, before starring in its prequel series, 1883.
As a musician, McGraw is a legendary figure in the world of country music. The artist has won three Grammy Awards, and 10 of his 16 studio albums have reached number one on the Top Country Albums chart. As of this writing, he has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, which makes him one of the best-selling artists in history.
