Tim Tebow Makes Dreams Come True On ‘Home Free’

In the new competition show Home Free, which is hosted by Tim Tebow, people battle it out in home-building challenges to win a dream home for their personal heroes and $100,000 for themselves. The real prize, though, is getting pep talks from Tim Tebow. Each week, contestants build a home (with the help of a bunch of professionals), and at the end of the episode, someone gets eliminated. The eliminated person doesn’t go home empty-handed though; the home that was built goes to that person’s personal hero.

In the premiere episode, Kevin was the one who came up short in the final challenge and was eliminated. That’s when Tebow surprised everyone with the news that the eliminated person still gets to give a house to their hero. Kevin’s personal hero is his mother-in-law, Pat, who inspired him after he was diagnosed with cancer. Pat was so overwhelmed by the amazing gesture that she broke down in tears.

Home Free airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
