One day before Daily Wire parted ways with her, controversial political commentator Candace Owens visited The Breakfast Club where she participated in a “Black Quiz.”

Charlamagne Tha God, Jess Hilarious, and DJ Envy asked Owens questions about cult classic sitcoms, Black history, and even common phrases found in Black culture. Of all the questions, the most interesting answer came when Owens couldn’t finish the common call-and-response phrase said in the Black church: “God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.”

“Finish this response: God is good,” Jess quizzed the 34-year-old, to which the latter responded, “God is good…Amen.”

“No, no, no, no,” Charlamagne said, as Owens was left dumbfounded and asked, “Where’s that from?”

Elsewhere in the quiz, Owens was asked to name the first Black woman to serve as a Supreme Court justice to which she “blanked” on her name.

“It’s whatchamacallit. I can’t believe I’m blanking on her name,” she said. “Can you give me a first letter?” After the hosts gave her the correct answer of Ketanji Brown Jackson, Owens defended herself, adding, “Her name is a little tricky.”

The right-wing commentator did redeem herself a little when she was able to recite the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air before answering how many fights Will got into before his mom got scared. However, she didn’t know the Good Times theme song but did name a Maya Angelou poem.

Following her experience at TBC, Charlamagne said, “A lot of people like to question Candace Owen’s Blackness, and I don’t like to do that, because she clearly is a Black woman. But we do have questions about her being Black.”

In the recap video, Jess also hilariously commented on what happened and showed a behind-the-scenes clip where she asked Owens, “What year was Cash Money Records taking over for?” to which she answered, “This year.”
