Tish Cyrus Explained Why She Went To Therapy With Dominic Purcell After Two Weeks Of Dating
Wake up, babe — new Tish Cyrus and Dominic Purcell lore just dropped.
The saga surrounding Tish's marriage to the Prison Break actor — which took place last year, after the former divorced Billy Ray Cyrus — has been something else, to say the least...
Largely because reports emerged earlier this year that her daughter, Noah Cyrus, was also dating Dominic before he and Tish got together.
Noah was reportedly (and, very understandably) not pleased about everything, while Miley allegedly thought it was a "strange situation" but previously had "no idea" about all the history behind it.

Dominic appeared to address the controversy in a since-deleted video of Tish and daughter Brandi dancing, while Tish herself has since admitted that there's been some issues in their marriage thus far.

"I was an only child, I was adopted, so I was coddled a lot," Tish said on her and Brandi's Sorry We're Stoned podcast. "I kind of have needed that. But that's just not who he is. He is not emotional, and that could be a problem."
Even as the situation with Noah has thawed a little, another Cyrus daughter — Brandi, specifically — has spoken out in support of Tish's recent "unapologetic" era.
If you've made it this far and are saying to yourself, "Yeah, yeah, I already know all of this," then you are probably also aware that Tish and Brandi have a podcast together called Sorry We're Stoned.
During a recent episode, Tish revealed that she actually started doing therapy with Dominic two weeks into their relationship, which is pretty intense.
“He was just so different in every aspect of the relationship that I had been in,” she said. “As a matter of fact, in the first week that we met, he had told me that he does therapy once a month, and he has for, like, 20 years. I went to therapy with him. It was so cool. Like, two weeks in.”
“One of the first things he said in therapy was, ‘I just want to make sure that I’m not pushing Tish too fast into a new relationship. She’s just gone through a divorce, and I want to really learn how to walk her through that in the best way possible.’ And I was just like, ‘Whoa.’”
Tish went on to call Dominic "awesome" and "great," and she also said that when it comes to their relationship, he's "stepped up and shown up and done it all right.”
“After a month, when we really knew it was something great, he was like, ‘The only thing I want to do is feel like this is my chance to be the best version of myself. Not only for you, for my children, for everyone,’” she recalled.
“I’ve never seen anybody work on themselves so much.”
