Tituss Burgess to Host New Food Network Competition ‘Last Bite Hotel’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Actor Tituss Burgess will lend his iconic judgement to Food Network this fall as the host of new competition series “Last Bite Hotel.”

In the show, eight chefs have been invited to a remote hotel for a game of resourcefulness and creativity, per Food Network’s description for the series. Tasked by hotel manager Burgess to meet the culinary demands of the hotel’s VIP guests, each chef may only bring 13 ingredients for their entire stay. Cooking skills won’t be enough to get them to the finish line, as ingenuity and calculated risks are needed to survive and cook another day.

As the game proceeds, each challenge completed means precious ingredients are dwindling, and, for the competitors, the chance of being banished to the dreaded Room 13 is increasing. As competitors are eliminated, they bequeath their remaining ingredients to chosen remaining challengers, making strategy and alliances a crucial part of surviving the competition.

“Last Bite Hotel” will debut Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. on Food Network and be available for streaming on the Warner Bros. Discovery cable channel’s sister streamer Max.

Competitors over the six-episode season include Brittanny Anderson (Richmond, VA), Gabriella Baldwin(Detroit, MI), Graham Campbell (Edinburg, TX), Tobias Dorzon (Baltimore, MD), Byron Gomez (Denver, CO), Kevin Lee (Oklahoma, OK), Nini Nguyen (New Orleans, LA) and Aarthi Sampath (New York, NY.)

VIP guest judges checking into the hotel to assist Burgess in his critiques include Esther Choi, Cat Cora, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Judy Joo, Poppy O’Toole, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Symon, and Andrew Zimmern.

Burgess is best known for his roles in “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Central Park,” “Schmigadoon!,” “Set It Up,” “Dolemite Is My Name, and Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect.” He will next voice a character in the upcoming animated film “Spellbound.”

“’Last Bite Hotel’ takes the resourcefulness of culinary creativity to a whole new level. Precious provisions are carefully decided before chefs even step foot in the kitchen,” Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of food content Betsy Ayala said. “The competition’s twists and turns are made even more suspenseful by the macabre playfulness of the incredibly talented Tituss Burgess as hotel manager.”

“Last Bite Hotel” is produced by Butternut Media, the production company founded by former Food Network president Courtney White.
