‘Today’ Ladies Have a Raucous Girls’ Night Out in Rio

Natalie Morales, Jenna Bush Hager, and Hoda Kotb of the Today show took a break from covering the Olympics to sample the Rio de Janeiro nightlife. The trio started with drinks at a hotel, where the audience learned something new about Morales: There’s a “Dark Natalie.” After Hager sampled Morales’s drink, she mentioned how strong it was.

Morales replied, “It’s gonna be a long night. Dark Natalie has gotta come out at some point.”

Later at the hotel, Hager confessed her desire to dance with a stranger, and that’s why she wore red. Immediately after, Morales taught her to ask someone to dance in Portuguese, but Hager couldn’t quite get the words out.

After the hotel, it was time for dancing. The ladies literally danced through the streets of Rio until they got to a club, where Hager got her chance to dance with a stranger. Unfortunately for her, Kotb quickly stole him. But all was well as the group still had one thing left to do.

After drinking enough to become talented singers, it was time to complete the girls’ night out by showcasing that newfound talent. Morales, Hager, and Kotb got onstage and gleefully sang for the crowd in the best late-night karaoke voices they could muster.
