Here are my picks for this weekend's can't-miss live performances in the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities.

Rock: Singer-songwriter Todd Rundgren has several hits such as "We Gotta Get You a Woman," "Bang the Drum All Day" and more. He also produced albums for Grand Funk Railroad, Cheap Trick, Bad Religion and the New York Dolls. In 2021, Rundgren was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Rundgren will perform on Saturday at Spotlight 29 Casino.

Thursday
Cabaret: Jason Graae has starred in Broadway shows like "A Grand Night for Singing" by Rodgers and Hammerstein and "Snoopy: The Musical." He's also an opera singer who has performed with the Boston Pops and the Washington National Opera.
Graae will perform his show "GRAAVITAS" on Thursday at Coachella Valley Repertory as part of the CV Rep Summer Cabaret Series, which will feature songs and stories.

Friday
Pop: Indie pop artist Kate Yeager's music is a mix of Kelly Clarkson's vocals and Julia Michaels' reflective songwriting style. Her 2023 single "Fat" is about her lifelong struggle with being overweight and self-acceptance. She describes her songbook as "a whole lot of light, with a whole lot of bite."

Tribute: Bon Jovi is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is having a busy year. In April, the legendary rock band released the docuseries "Thank You, Goodnight" on Disney+ and dropped the new album "Forever" in June. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi was named the 2024 MusiCares Person Of The Year and honored with an all-star tribute concert at the Los Angeles Convention Center featuring Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Jelly Roll and more.
Even though there are no plans for Bon Jovi to appear in the Coachella Valley anytime soon, a Bon Jovi tribute band, Wanted, will perform on Saturday in the Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
