Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep try re-create each other's iconic performances
Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, maybe you’ve heard of them, visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the two stars of The Post tried their best to reenact each other’s famous roles. Streep started by affecting a Southern accent and saying, “My mama always said, ‘Life is like a box of chocolates — you never know what you’re gonna get,’” from Forrest Gump.
Hanks then tried Streep’s line in The Devil Wears Prada in which she claims Anne Hathaway’s character is moving “at a glacial pace.”
Then Streep put on a Woody hat and tried one of Hanks’s Toy Story lines.
However, the weirdest moment was when Hanks donned a giant Margaret Thatcher wig, tried a high-pitched British accent, and delivered a short monologue from Streep’s Oscar-winning performance in The Iron Lady.
