Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s L.A. home burglarized

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had their Los Angeles home burglarized recently.

According to TMZ, it happened a few weeks ago but the outlet learned about it on Monday.

Police sources say the thieves smashed a window to gain entry into a guest house on the couple’s Pacific Palisades property. The alarm was triggered, but the burglars did not gain entry into the main home according to ABC News.

Sources claimed the break-in happened in the middle of the day while the couple was out of town.

Officials told the Los Angeles Times that the burglary wasn’t targeted, but random.

So far no arrests have been made and it’s not known if anything was taken.

This incident comes amid an alarming string of burglaries across Southern California.
