Who Is Tom Hollander's Partner, Fran Hickman? Get the Details
Seeing Tom Hollander bring the legendary Truman Capote to life has been an entertainment highlight this year. For one, the 57-year-old British star is almost unrecognizable in FX's Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, and he nailed the writer's personality and unique mannerisms. His stellar portrayal earned him several rave reviews and, better yet, an Emmy nod for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
While discussing his character with The Hollywood Reporter, he said, "With a wonderful character like that, you’re playing someone cleverer than you, more sensitive than you, more troubled than you, someone extreme, and you walk down the road together for a bit. For a good six months, he was my buddy."
Given his convincing portrayal of the flamboyant novelist, one might think he has quite a bit in common with Capote. However, unlike his on-screen character, Hollander has been in a long-term relationship with his partner, Fran Hickman. Now, I'm curious to know: Has she become Tom Hollander's wife? Here's what I know.
1. Is Tom Hollander Married?

The British actor has been off the market for several years, but he is not currently married. However, he is in a relationship with his longtime partner, Fran Hickman.
In 2010, the pair got engaged. However, it's rumored that the pair called off the engagement shortly after and went through a temporary breakup. By 2018, it looked like the couple had already rekindled the romance, judging by Hickman's playful IG post with the actor in costume that year.
Per The Daily Mail, Hickman moved into Hollande's multi-million dollar flat during the pandemic, and sources revealed that they've been living together ever since—so it's safe to say they've been going strong for at least six years.
2. Who Is Tom Hollander's Girlfriend, Fran Hickman?

Hickman is a London-based interior designer who runs a self-titled interior and architectural design studio. Before launching her studio in 2014, she worked as part of the Soho House Group design team and moved on to Waldo Works, where she collaborated with luxury clients.
Her website’s official bio reads, “In an extraordinarily short space of time, her studio has been critically celebrated for the energy, spirit and elegance of its portfolio. Fran passionately believes in the potential of good design to be a positive force in the world; and that the best design is always both serious and playful.”
3. How Did They Meet?

The beginning of their love story is unclear, since neither Hollander nor Hickman have spoken out about how they first met. My best guess? It's likely they first crossed paths while attending a special event.
4. Have They Ever Walked the Red Carpet Together?

Interestingly enough, Hollander arrived solo at a few recent red carpet events, including the Feud: Capote vs. The Swans Premiere, The King's Man World Premiere and the Opening Night Gala & European Premiere for Breathe. However, Hickman appeared alongside her husband to participate in Paris Fashion Week in June 2024. And she has previously joined him for several other events, like the M'oda 'Operandi launch in 2014.
5. Will Hickman Attend the 2024 Emmys?

Hollander hasn’t publicly announced if he’ll bring his partner to the ceremony (which, FYI, takes place on September 15, 2024). Previously, I've spotted the actor attending red carpets solo or with his castmates, but given how major the Emmys are, I'm predicting that his partner will be in attendance.
6. Do Hollander and Hickman Have Children?
They sure do. In 2023, the happy couple welcomed their first child together—a son—and Hollander has been quite vocal about becoming a father for the first time.
During his appearance on on Live with Kelly and Mark, he got emotional while talking about his son. He said, “It's a wonderful thing. I sort of spent many years not really thinking that I was going to be a dad or even wanting to be a dad. I started to regret that. And suddenly," he added, getting choked up, "it was...suddenly he's here, so that's lovely.”
Soon after his child's birth, the proud dad was spotted running errands while carrying his newborn in an Ergo Baby carrier. Hollander told Stephen Colbert, "He's a very sweet chap, and he seems very happy to be alive, which, that is a nice thing."
