Tourist season brings hot shows to beach stages in Ocean City, Dewey Beach and more
After a three-day holiday kickoff last weekend, tourist season at the beach is officially underway, and bars, restaurants and concert venues have a full slate of music events on tap to entertain the masses.
The Listening Booth celebrating grand opening in new location
On southbound Route 1 at Midway, The Listening Booth said farewell to its location in the Tanger Outlets shopping center with a closing party earlier this month. However, the acoustic concert venue has moved to a nearby location that is also on southbound Route 1 at Midway.
The new, larger room is located in the Coastal Plaza strip mall — which is also home to businesses including the Go Brit! Fish & Chips Shop and Verizon Wireless. The grand opening will take place Friday, May 31 and will feature national folk artist Elllis Paul ($35). Listening Booth owner Marissa Levy Lerer will open the show with a set of her own original songs at 7 p.m.
