The Traitors’ Alan Cumming Previews ‘Murderous’ Season 3 in First Trailer — Plus, Get Release Date

The Traitors are almost ready to don their flowy signature garbs, so feast your eyes on some of Season 3’s very first footage!

In the video released Friday (and embedded above), the always dapper Alan Cumming teases the events he and his precious pup Lala have prepared in the “murderous” new season. As we take in first looks at some of the competition’s upcoming challenges, Big Brother vet Danielle Reyes reminds us that, “In this game, you definitely have to be a cold-blooded killer.” Meanwhile, Survivor’s Carolyn Wiger humblebrags about her lie-detection skills, and Bob the Drag Queen assures us that his “mama didn’t raise no fool.”

Press play on the clip to peek at some of the explosions, snakes and other creepy-crawlies in store when the season debuts on Peacock Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.

The series, which was renewed for Season 3 in February, combines “the witty humor of returning host (and producer) Alan Cumming with the deceit and treachery of a celeb-fueled competition set in the Scottish Highlands,” reads its official description. “Contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the faithful are the traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the faithful and claim the prize for themselves.”

In August, Peacock ordered an additional two seasons, ensuring that The Traitors will run through Season 5. The XL pickup comes after The Traitors‘ sophomore season won two Primetime Emmys: Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program.

The Season 3 cast also includes Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser), Boston Rob Mariano (Survivor), Chrishell Stause (Selling Sunset), Dorinda Medley (The Real Housewives of New York City), pro wrestler Nikki Garcia, Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules) and Wells Adams (Bachelor in Paradise).
