When Travis Kelce was cast in the next season of American Horror Story, fans were divided. After all, the Chiefs star is far from being a trained actor. But, according to his co-star Niecy Nash Betts, Kelce might have some tricks up his sleeve.

Speaking of Kelce’s acting chops at the 2024 BET Awards this weekend, the Emmy winner shared her reaction to co-starring alongside him. “You know what, I’m pleasantly surprised,” Nash-Betts told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s doing really well.”

When asked if they help each other out by running lines together, Nash didn’t hesitate to say yes. “[It’s usually] us sitting around eating In-N-Out reading words off a piece of paper,” she said.

And while Kelce surely benefits from running lines together, it seems Nash might also be appreciating the extra hand. “I’ve never played a role like this,” she said of the season, titled Grotesqueire. “It’s very dark, I’m so excited for people to see it.”

“There may be a few cameos,” Nash-Betts teased. “I’m not going to name names. But it’s a good time.” Could Taylor Swift be making an appearance? We sure hope so!

“They would not stop laughing the entire time they were filming,” a source told Page Six in May. “They have a similar sense of humor and bonded over their joy for life.”

“[Nash] very supportive of his leap into acting,” another source echoed. We love to see it!

On Instagram, the actress, who’s starred in many Murphy productions in the past, announced the news of Kelce’s hiring in early May. “This is what happens when WINNERS link up,” she captioned a video of the two on Instagram. “Welcome to Grostequerie!”

According to Vulture, Grotesquerie is set to premiere later this year in the fall. We can’t wait!
