Travis Kelce Unveils the 'Sentimental' Reasoning Behind His Favorite Taylor Swift Songs

Travis Kelce already knows that his girlfriend Taylor Swift writes "bangers," but apparently they just hit different when they're about him.

In a new podcast interview with Bussin' With the Boys' Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, Kelce gushed about falling in love with the "Fortnight" songstress and becoming a hardcore Swiftie in the process—something that has given new meaning to his favorite songs by the hitmaker.

While ranking his top three tracks from his girlfriends entire 11-album discography, Kelce opted to put 1989's "Blank Space" in the number one spot, since he said that was the first album that turned him into a big fan.

The next tier was Swift's track "Cruel Summer" off her 2019 album, Lover, which is one of the first songs she plays at her Eras Tour concerts.

"It's just f—king electric in the stadium and then she goes into an absolute banger like that," said Kelce, 34, adding that he was "fired up" when he first witnessed that song live while attending the Eras Tour for the first time last summer before he had ever met Swift.

But there was one more song that Kelce couldn't help but add to his top three, calling "So High School," off Swift's newest album The Tortured Poets Department, one of his favorites because of its "sentimental" value.

"You make an appearance," Compton chimed in while nudging Kelce on the arm, insinuating that Swift wrote the song about him.

"I think so," the Chiefs player said while smiling and visibly blushing.

"You know how to ball I know Aristotle, man," he then quipped, referring to Swift's lyrics about him.

Also in her "So High School," track, Swift makes a few other references to her boyfriend's football career, including the lyrics, "Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights," and "I feel like laughing in the middle of practice."

Swift's song "The Alchemy"—also off her latest album—is another track believed to be about Kelce, and that one includes a whole slew of more not-so-subtle football references.
