Travis Kelce's Dad Ed Sends a Strong Message After Taylor Swift's Alleged Stalker Is Arrested
On July 17, an alleged stalker was arrested in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, ahead of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show after allegedly threatening the pop star and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end's dad, Ed Kelce, has since sent a bold message in response to the situation.
On Monday, July 22, Ed, fondly known as "Papa Kelce" took to Facebook to share a news article about the arrest. "Love to know who this some-b— is," he captioned the update.
It wasn't long before folks on X caught wind of the amusing post, with one declaring, "ed kelce the icon, the legend that you are."
Another X user wrote, "PROTECT ED KELCE AT ALL COSTS."
To that, someone else commented, "He is already so protective of his future Daughter In Law."
Another joked, "He’s going to get to the bottom of Taylor’s stalking issues," while a third echoed, "Add Ed to her security team STAT."
Meanwhile, one X user exclaimed, "ICONIC behavior!!!!"
As the Associated Press reported on July 18, an American man who had a ticket to Swift's concert at Veltins-Arena on July 17 was detained as a result of tips from organizers of the event.
Police said the alleged stalker made threats on social media against the pop star and Kelce. He was ordered to remain in detention until that Saturday, after Swift's final show in Gelsenkirchen.
Next, the "Shake It Off" singer will head to Hamburg on July 23 and 24 before traveling to Munich for two more shows on July 27 and 28. Swift wraps up her Eras Tour in Vancouver in December.
