Travis Scott is gearing up to give fans something that they have wanted for a long time. He will add his 2014 mixtape, Days Before Rodeo, to streaming services this month with additional bonus songs.
The project, which was originally released on Aug. 18, 2014, will be available to stream on Aug. 23, 2024. The 33-year-old announced this on his Instagram with old footage of him working with Metro Boomin and Young Thug. “DAYS BEFORE RODEO 10yr ANNIVERSARY BEING CELEBRATED BY FINALLLY RE-RELEASING EVERYWHERE AUGUST 23RD AND MAYBE COUPLE DBR SONGS FROM THAT ERA FROM THE VAULT,” he wrote. “Travisscott.com more info and shizzzz shsbsbsbsb IM [F**KING] JUMPING THRU WALLS AHHHH.”
Digital deluxe editions of Days Before Rodeo, which include unreleased records from that era of his career, are available for pre-order on his website for $4.99. In true Scott fashion, he will also be selling vinyls and merchandise bundles.
Travis Scott’s Days Before Rodeo is viewed as a cult classic by the masses. The 12-track project boasted popular records such as “Drugs You Should Try It,” “Skyfall” featuring Young Thug, “Mamacita” featuring Thug and Rich Homie Quan, and “Sloppy Toppy” featuring Migos and Peewee Longway. Other featured artists included Big Sean and The 1975.
Days Before Rodeo was the precursor to his debut studio album, 2015’s Rodeo, both of which cemented the Houston artist as a future star in the music industry. One year later, he released Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight and then took things to another level with his current magnum opus, Astroworld, in 2018.
Scott’s latest LP was 2023’s Utopia, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 496,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album featured Drake, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Future, SZA, Playboi Carti, Young Thug, and more.
