Because of Travis Scott, the city of Houston — his hometown — may soon get a brand new amusement park.

On Wednesday night, following his performance at the Houston Toyota Center, Scott, 26, was joined on stage by Mayor Sylvester Turner, who made the big announcement.

“As the mayor of the city of Houston, I’m so proud of you man,” Turner said on stage.

“Because of him, we want to bring another amusement park back to Houston,” Turner excitedly revealed, prompting the concertgoers to erupt in screams.

Making the moment all the more special, Mayor Turner then presented Scott with a key to the city.

Later in the night, Turner tweeted about his experience on stage.

“It was truly lit at @ToyotaCenter this evening. I was honored to present @trvisXX with a key to the city along with @aturner4545.”

“The crowd went in #SickoMode,” Turned wrote in reference to Scott’s hit featuring Drake. “A surreal experience. #Astroworld.”

As many fans know, the idea of bringing an amusement park back to Houston is no foreign concept to Scott.

For his third studio album, released in August, Scott named it Astroworld after the amusement park Six Flags AstroWorld, which was closed down in 2005.

The closing of the park is something Scott will never forget.

“They took AstroWorld away from us in Houston,” Scott recounted sadly during an interview with XXL magazine in 2017. In that same interview, one of Scott’s friends said the park was shut down to make “the rodeo bigger.”

However, the closing of the park is what really pushed Scott to get in the studio. “I started making music,” Scott told XXL when asked what he did for fun following the closing of the amusement park.

Following the release of Astroworld, which scored him a best rap album nomination at the 61st Grammy Awards, Scott founded the Astroworld Festival.

The festival, which kicked off on Nov. 17, took place across the street from the former home of AstroWorld — located in downtown Houston.

In the meantime, Scott, who recently celebrated daughter Stormi’s first birthday with a “StormiWorld” theme, will continue on his Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour until June 22.

Scott also performed during the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 3 with girlfriend Kylie Jenner cheering him on with their daughter backstage.
