Travis Scott’s Decade-Old ‘Days Before Rodeo’ Mixtape Expected To Top Charts

Travis Scott is no stranger to Billboard charts, and a reissue of a fan-favorite project may put him at the top of the rankings.

Last week (Aug. 23) the mixtape Days Before Rodeo arrived on modern streaming services, a decade after its initial release. The 12-track work is projected to reach the no. 2 spot on Billboard‘s 200 chart, according to HITS Daily Double.

According to the platform, the Houston native’s 10-year-old mixtape is estimated to sell 217,000 equivalent units in its first week, trailing Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet, which is currently tracking at over 300,000 equivalent sales.

So far this year, the biggest rap debut on the chart has been Eminem’s 11th No. 1 album, The Death Of Slim Shady, which came out on top with 281,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending July 18. Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative We Don’t Trust You also put up impressive numbers, counting 251,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending March 28, equaling 324.31 million on-demand official streams in its No. 1 debut.

Initially released in August 2014, Days Before Rodeo features Migos, Young Thug, Peewee Longway, Rich Homie Quan, and T.I., although T.I.’s verse did not make the DSP cut. To celebrate Days Before Rodeo making its streaming arrival and hitting the 10-year-milestone, Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack partnered with Spotify for an intimate, one-night-only concert of the throwback tracks and newer rage-ready party anthems.

During the concert, the 33-year-old hinted at a Days Before Rodeo tour as he performed songs such as “Mo City Flexologist,” and “Yeah Yeah” for the first time.

The fan-favorite “Drugs You Should Try” also received an official video on Tuesday (Aug. 27). The clip features the Grammy-nominated rapper reaching for the moon, mirroring the Days Before Rodeo cover artwork. Check the music video below.
