Travis Scott Teased a New Jordan Jumpman Jack Sneaker
More from Footwear News
Travis Scott’s latest Jordan sneaker, an Air Jordan 1 Low in “Medium Olive,” was quick to sell out following its Sept. 28 release. But nearly as soon as the shoes arrived, the Cactus Jack rapper had already begun teasing what could be next from his popular collaboration.
A Tuesday Instagram story posted by the rapper revealed a new-look Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack. The model, which has also been referred to as the CJ1 T-Rexx on Travis Scott’s website, is his first original silhouette with Jordan Brand after releasing a slew of coveted Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4 and air Jordan 6 collaborations.
Paired with a green hoodie, camouflage T-shirt and what appears to be a pair of Boro denim from Japanese brand Blackmeans, Travis Scott’s newest Jumpman Jack colorway dons a mostly black upper. It’s contrasted with a brown reverse Swoosh logo — a staple of the artist’s Nike and Jordan sneakers — and a stark white midsole.
Despite the early look, it’s not yet known if this Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack will be released. However, there are a number of styles in the works including a “Dark Mocha” Jumpman Jack set to be released in November. The model is also expected to release in new “Light Chocolate” and “Bright Cactus” colorways soon.
As for Travis Scott’s coveted Air Jordan 1 Low collaborations, several pairs which were once slated to be released including “Dark Pony,” “Shy Pink,” and “Pale Vanilla” have now been canceled. Still expected in 2025 is a new three-way collaboration on the Air Jordan 1 Low with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design brand.
On Sunday, Travis Scott parodied the challenges many fans face trying to buy his sneakers with a video shared to Instagram starring Christopher McDonald and Chevy Chase which referenced the film “Happy Gilmore.”
More details for the new Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack in black will be added to this story once confirmed.
