Family Free Night

5 p.m. to 8 p.m., cMoe-Family Children's Museum of Evansville, 22 SE Fifth St. Free.

CMoe is hosting a free admission day for families to explore the museum. The last admission is at 7:30 p.m.

Join the Evansville Otters as they take on the Schaumburg Boomers for Budweiser Thirsty Thursday.

Friday

Henderson Farmers Market

Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, Henderson Farmers Market, 381 Sam Ball Way Fairgrounds in Henderson. Free admission.

Discover fresh local produce, jams, meat, homegrown flowers, and baked goods every Friday and Saturday through October.

Germania Maennerchor Volkfest 2024

11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Aug. 3-5, Germania Maennerchor 916 N. Fulton Ave. Tickets are $5 after 4 p.m.

It's time to celebrate German culture. This annual three-day event includes live polka music, food for $14 for bratwurst or pigs knuckles meals, and they'll be serving their famous Kraut Balls, German bologna sandwiches, pork chops, homemade German potato salad, and more. A beer-and-wine garden will be available to those 21 and over and Saturday will feature a kids' corner ree food, backpacks, games, fire trucks, and other activities for children 12 and under.

Haynie’s Corner First Friday

5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Haynie’s Corner Arts District. Free.

The family-friendly, monthly First Friday celebration will feature food trucks, live music, art, entertainment, and more.

Evansville Otters baseball

6:35 p.m., Bosse Field, 23 Don Mattingly Way in Evansville.

The Evansville Otters take on the New Jersey Jackals in Frontier League play at Bosse Field.

Sounds of Summer Concert

7 p.m., (Jazz Band at 6 p.m.), Mount Vernon Senior High School, 700 Harriet St in Mount Vernon. Free.

Part one of the free community concert series the Wolfgang Orchestra & Chorus is doing for the community. They will share music that honors all things summer including the Olympics, movies, video games, the beach and more.

Saturday

Evansville Farmers Market

9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 815 John St. Free.

Shop from local vendors and food trucks while joining the fun of this weekly market.

Franklin Street Bazaar

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along West Franklin Street. Free. 

This weekly market is on the lawn of the EVPL West Branch Library with hundreds of vendors from local farmers and producers to bakers to artists and craftsmen having pop-up shops for visitors to check out local products.

EVPL Foundation annual summer book sale

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., Washington Square Mall, 4800 Washington Ave. Free.

Add to your personal collection with hundreds of books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs, on sale ranging from 50 cents to $2.

6:30 p.m., Victory Theatre, 600 Main St. Tickets start at $26 to $56.

"Saturday Night Live" alum Jim Breuer is bringing his "Survival with Laughter" stand-up comedy tour to Evansville.
