Tribute to crooners flies into WHS auditorium Saturday

Aug. 6—The next installment of the Washington Community Concert Series will take place Saturday night at the high school auditorium.

"Come Fly With Me," is a tribute to classic crooners that features Ryan J. Driscoll, a vocalist and entertainer who has performed across the United States as well as internationally.

Known for his warm vocal renditions, Driscoll will provide his take on hits from the Great American Songbook. Expect here songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole and Michael Buble'.

"Driscoll will be supported by his talented Music City Bing Band and together they will have you transported as they perform timeless songs for your enjoyment," said community concert committee member Terri Kelso.

Tickets for the show that begins at the WHS auditorium at 7:30 p.m., can be purchased in advance online at washingtoncommunityconcerts.com or at Springs Valley Bank and Trust. For those wanting to purchase tickets the night of the show, doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

When the curtain drops on Driscoll's performance, there will still be one more to go in the latest edition of the concert series that was started in 2016 to commemorate Washington's Bicentennial.

The final show this year will feature John Berry on Dec. 7 also at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Berry's Christmas show is a perennial favorite, drawing large crowds to kickoff the holiday season. Tickets for that show are also $25.
