Trick Williams Tells Carmelo Hayes He Needs To Be His Own Man On 8/1 WWE NXT

Don’t call it a breakup, but Trick Williams says he needs to shine on his own.

For the majority of his time in WWE NXT, Williams has been Carmelo Hayes‘ hype man, manager, and tag team partner. But on the August 1 episode of WWE NXT, Williams told Hayes that he wasn’t a sidekick, and he needed to be his own man. Trick focused on Ilja Dragunov and stated that he needed to show the former NXT UK star what he was made of.

Williams also made it clear that it wasn’t a breakup, and they would always be friends.
