Trina And Yung Miami Represent Dade County At 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards
Trina and Yung Miami put on for the Florida girls at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. Taking place at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas in this year’s new format of the annual event, the ladies made sure to bring the Southern swagger center stage.
The performance kicked off with the veteran of the duo as the only musician on stage, surrounded by colorfully clothed backup dancers. Wearing a denim set adorned by crystals and matching thigh-high boots, Trina took the audience back to the club scene with a medley of her raunchiest verses and biggest hits.
Her performance included moments from “Da Baddest B**ch,” “B R Right”, “B**ch From The South,” “Look Back At Me”, and “Naan.” The dance-filled set was closed with “Pull Over,” where the Diamond Princess performer was excitedly joined by the City Girl rhymer.
The audience roared with excitement as Yung Miami entered the venue. Wearing a black leather capri ensemble with a bedazzled groin, bralette, and matching durag, the Caresha Please host showed off her twerk skills.
Paying homage to Trina in real time, Yung Miami delivered the nostalgic second verse in “Pull Over” which she has likely known since her youth. The two women hyped each other up as the 30-year-old dropped down into a rhythm split. The performance ended with a gleeful embrace as Trina reminded all viewers “We from Dade County, 305.”
In 2022, Trina was honored with the “I Am Hip Hop Award” for her longstanding career and influence in Hip-Hop. An emotional acceptance speech was prefaced by a clip with words from Missy Elliott, Killer Mike, Latto, City Girls, and Trick Daddy.
