Here’s the official description of the most recent season of the centuries-spanning story: “Tension mounts throughout the galaxy. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. The monumental adaptation of Foundation chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.”
Kotsur played fisherman Frank Rossi in CODA and became the second Deaf actor to win an Academy Award when he took home the prize for best supporting actor. He appeared in Disney+’s The Mandalorian as Tusken Raider and even created a form of sign language for the series that was also used in The Book of Boba Fett. He also guest-starred in last week’s episode of the final season of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Goyer serves as executive producer along with Jane Espenson, Leigh Dana Jackson, Roxann Dawson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell and Robyn Asimov.
The first two Foundation seasons are on Apple TV+, and no date has yet been announced for season three.
