Troye Sivan and Charli XCX Rock Acne Studios on Tour
Brat summer lives on as Charli XCX and Troye Sivan have fans drenched in sweat during their “Sweat” U.S. tour.
On Monday, the pop duo performed hits from their latest albums to a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden (MSG), marking the fifth stop on their U.S. tour. The show, produced by Live Nation, will continue with stops in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Nashville and more, concluding on Oct. 23 in Seattle.

At the MSG show, Sivan performed tracks from his 2023 album “Something to Give Each Other,” while Charli XCX showcased hits from her recent album “Brat,” whose lime green cover sparked viral trends over the summer. Sivan treated the crowd to throwback hits like “Bloom,” “My My My” and “You” while Charli XCX performed favorites like “Unlock it (Lock It),” “Vroom Vroom” and “Speed Drive.”
Halfway through the set, the duo surprised the crowd with two special guests. First, TikToker-turned-singer Addison Rae lit up the stage with her viral hit “Diet Pepsi,” followed by a performance of “Von Dutch” alongside Charli XCX. Shortly after, Lorde joined Charli XCX to belt out “Girl, So Confusing.”
Fashion has a large role in the show’s production, particularly club-inspired looks by Acne Studios.
Charli XCX turned heads in a custom-made dress inspired by Acne Studios’ Spring/Summer ’25 men’s wear collection, cinched with a variety of belts that added an edgy flair to her look. The trendsetter also rocked gray shorts with a simple white corset dress for her performance of “Sympathy is a Knife,” adding to the rebellious vibe.
Sivan, who recently starred in Gap’s campaign for loose-fitting jeans, wore a New York City T-shirt paired with classic blue loose-fit jeans. He also flaunted black studded briefs with black chaps. Previously, he styled micro denim shorts with the chaps in earlier shows.
At the Montreal show, Sivan sported a low-cut black tank top with the Acne Studios logo, paired with baggy distressed jeans and a chunky black belt—a signature look for the singer.
These looks showcase Acne Studios’ pivot to a grittier style, something the brand has implemented ever since it tapped Kylie Jenner to star in its Fall 2023 denim campaign.
More edgy denim is on the way from the Swedish label. Acne Studios’ spring collection was inspired by construction-site textures: denim and knitwear caked in white plaster, while pockets and belt loops were molded onto the surface of rubbery leather coats.
“Denim is one of those rebellious but practical materials that are always attractive to me,” Jonny Johansson, creative director of Acne Studios, told Rivet earlier this year. “I think of denim as the axle for everything else in your wardrobe—all your other clothes revolve around denim. It’s an endlessly important material that I love to reinvent every season.”
