Trump Drove Another Wedge Between Brittany Mahomes & Taylor Swift's Fans With His Latest Comments
Brittany Mahomes is facing the wrath of Taylor Swift‘s fans and Donald Trump‘s latest comments aren’t going to help her case.
“I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth,” Trump told Fox News on September 11, the morning after his first televised debated with Vice President Kamala Harris, who Swift publicly endorsed in an Instagram post shortly after the debate. “She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan.”

He continued: “It was just a question of time…. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. You look at Biden — you couldn’t endorse him. But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a pay price for it… in the marketplace. But no, I liked Brittany.”
Many of Swift’s loyal fans were relieved to see her officially endorse Harris in the upcoming presidential election after the singer faced mounting pressure online over her relationship with Mahomes.
The two women have forged a friendship ever since Swift starting dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the teammate of Mahomes’ husband, KCC quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, after Mahomes made headlines for her support of Trump, many online began to question Swift’s political affiliations — particularly after Swift was photographed hugging Mahomes at the US Open days after the controversy.
Mahomes continued to get a grilling online after Swift’s Harris endorsement. One fan on X wrote, “i just know brittany mahomes is having a panic attack after taylor swift announced her endorsement for Kamala.”
Yet, Swift’s endorsement didn’t exactly put her out of the woods just yet. Some fans continued their skepticism of the Grammy winner.
i’m glad taylor made that statement and endorsed kamala but i’m not gonna praise her for the bare minimum especially when it very much seems like damage control after her hanging out with her trumpie bestie,” said one X user.
“If taylor swift spends this election season hanging out with Brittany Mahomes instead of baking Kamala cookies, I will have to unstan,” another wrote.
Now, Trump’s comments have only further aggravated fans online, making it hard to imagine a public friendship between the two women continuing.
