Clips of the pro-Trump rap song “Trump Trump Baby” featuring model Amber Rose were played at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday evening.

Rose, who is known in part for her past relationship with rapper Kanye West, was famously critical of former President Donald Trump during his first bid for president, calling him an “idiot” in an interview with The Cut.

But she has since changed her tune. In her speech at the RNC Monday, Rose said that Trump and his supporters are “all love.”

She blamed the media for her past beliefs, saying they told “lies” about the former president, like that he “was a racist.” She credited talking to her father, a Trump supporter, with “opening her eyes.”

What is Trump Trump Baby?

Pro-Trump rapper Forgiato Blow released his song “Trump Trump Baby” in June. The music video, featuring Rose wearing a gold chain with a doll-sized head of the former president attached, was played at the RNC Tuesday.

The song is rapped to the familiar tune of Vanilla Ice’s ‘90s hit “Ice Ice Baby” and features lyrics about re-electing the former president: “We voting Donald Trump baby” and “November 5th we going crazy.” The song also criticizes the indictments against Trump, people who voted for Biden, and the media.

According to Forbes, the song hit the top ten on the Billboard charts and number eight on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales.

Blow has long supported Trump through his music: in 2020, he released an album titled “All Eyez on Maga,” which included a song titled “Vote Donald Trump.” Most recently, Blow released a song titled “Teflon Trump,” featuring the now-famous photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist post-assassination attempt.

What to watch RNC Day 3

The RNC continues on Wednesday with speakers like Trump’s vice presidential pi,ck JD Vance, and Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., taking the stage.
