'Trumps will be a dynasty' comment walked back by Trump's campaign manager
Donald Trump's 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, joined The Ingraham Angle on Monday, where he attempted to clarify his recent “Trump dynasty” comments. On Saturday, while addressing a group of Republicans in California, Parscale said, "The Trumps will be a dynasty that lasts for decades,” and echoed those comments with a tweet on Sunday.

Parscale's dynasty comments were met with immediate backlash from the media. Even Fox Business host Lou Dobbs, who is a strong advocate for President Trump, called the dynasty remarks "the dumbest thing a campaign manager for a populist candidate ever said."

Ingraham asked, "If you had to say it again, would you say dynasty?" Parscale explained that in the world of sports, becoming a dynasty is a good thing, but conceded that's not the case with politics. Ingraham attempted to salvage the word by explaining that the "America first philosophy" of Trump would become a dynasty as opposed to the Trump name.
Parscale said he wanted the underrepresented California Republicans to know how hard the Trump family works for them and that they've become a juggernaut in politics. Parscale assured the California Republicans that the Trump family is going to be with them in the future. "I want them to understand that this is not just a one election or two election thing. This is a movement that is going to continue," said Parscale.
Ingraham asked Parscale if he meant Trump would be president for years to come. Parscale responded, "I just mean helping them fundraise, having the policies of the President continued, continuing to fight for this grassroots movement. This movement is huge, and the President has taken it so far, and I think everybody in California wants to know it's going to continue."
Meanwhile, at a campaign rally in Fayetteville, N.C., on Monday, the president himself joked about adding a third term to his presidency so he would be in office during the 2026 World Cup.
“We may have to go for an extra term,” said Trump, adding, “Tomorrow, you're going to see headlines, ‘Trump wants an extra term. I told you. I told you. He wants an extra term, ladies and gentlemen. We told you. We told you he's a dictator.’ No. I'm only kidding.”
The Ingraham Angle airs weeknights at 10 p.m. on Fox News.
