“Competition’s healthy,” Stallone’s crime boss tells McDonough’s character, who’s none too pleased that The General is encroaching on his territory. “Depends who you’re competing with,” Thresher responds.
“In Season 2, Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa but, just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim,” reads the sophomore run’s official logline. “With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.”
Tulsa King returns Sunday, Sept. 15. In addition to new players McDonough and Grillo, Season 2 will feature a cameo from Grammy-nominated country singer Jelly Roll, whose unreleased song “Get By” can be heard in the trailer above.
