Prepare for a roaring good time: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes makes its streaming debut on Hulu on August 2.
Set many years after Caesar’s reign, the 2024 sci-fi flick centers on a young ape (played by Owen Teague) who embarks on a coming-of-age journey that forces him to question everything he knows and make decisions that redefine the future for apes and humans.

* The HBO comedy pilot The Chair Company, hailing from I Think You Should Leave creators Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, has added five to its cast including Lake Bell (Harley Quinn), Sophia Lillis (I Am Not Okay With This, Sharp Objects), Will Price Goosebumps), Joseph Tudisco and Lou Diamond Phillips (Prodigal Son, Longmire), per Variety.
Robinson will star in the pilot, which follows a man investigating a far-reaching conspiracy after an embarrassing incident at work.

* Derek Haas’ Prime Video series Countdown — centered on Jensen Ackles’ LAPD officer Mark Meachum, who’s recruited into a secret task force — is bolstering its cast with three new additions, according to The Hollywood Reporter: Violett Beane as recent grad and tech expert Evan Shepherd, Uli Latukefu as LAPD veteran Lucas Finau and Elliot Knight as third-generation FBI agent Keyonte Bell.
