TVLine Items: Live Jost/Che Peacock Special, Jessica Alba’s Hulu Pilot and More

Peacock is entering new territory with two SNL stars.

The streamer has released a teaser for Colin Jost & Michael Che Present: New York After Dark, Peacock’s first live comedy special, which debuts Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9 pm ET and features the Weekend Update anchors’ favorite NYC club comics.

The program will stream from The Bell House in Brooklyn, with an in-person audience.

* A series adaptation of Lisa Unger’s book Confessions on the 7:45, starring Jessica Alba (L.A.’s Finest) and with Eva Longoria attached to direct the pilot, is now in development at Hulu after previously being in the works at Netflix, our sister site Deadline reports.

* Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, now filming in Spain, will feature Eduardo Noriega (Everything Is Well, Hache), óscar Jaenada (Silent Cargo, Luis Miguel: The Series) and Alexandra Masangkay (Stags, Valeria) as series regulars, while Candela Saitta (Máxima) and Hugo Arbués (Past Lies) will fill recurring roles.

* Modern Family is headed to Nick @ Nite, where it will air weeknights from 2-4 am, beginning Monday, Sept. 9. Reruns will continue to air on TBS, but leave E! after a farewell marathon on Friday, Sept. 6.

* Former Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli has joined The Drew Barrymore Show as a lifestyle expert, People reports. She’ll make her debut during Season 5, premiering Monday, Sept. 9 (check your local listings).

* MeTV has renewed Collector’s Call, hosted by Facts of Life grad Lisa Whelchel, for a 26-episode Season 6, to air in 2025.
