ABC announced Friday that Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will join the likes of Tom Cruise and Tina Fey as presenters at the 84th annual Oscars, to air Sunday, Feb. 26. This marks the Muppets’ fifth appearance at Hollywood’s biggest night.

? Music icon Janet Jackson is in preliminary talks to join the second season of X Factor, per The Hollywood Reporter. Jackson hinted at the possibility on Anderson Cooper’s CNN show Thursday, saying, “No, I’m not a judge on The X Factor… But that’s all I really think I should say.” Prior to her sudden death last week, Whitney Houston was rumored to be joining the competition as well.

According to Variety, Emma Greenwell and Noel Fisher, who play neighborhood siblings Mandy and Mickey, respectively, have received title bumps, beginning with the Showtime series’ third season. The cabler earlier this week also promoted Zach McGowan.

? Oxygen has given the green light to two pilots: Teen Weddings, a docu-series that goes behind the scenes of — you guessed it — underage marriage ceremonies; and Thrift Wars, which follow New York’s “most elite and hardcore” thrift shoppers.
