TVLine Items: An Originals Actor Relocates to Scandal, S.H.I.E.L.D. Casts Major Villain and More
Does Olivia Pope have what it takes to “handle” one of The Originals? Sebastian Roché, who plays Mikael on The CW’s Vampire Diaries spin-off, will appear in several episodes of ABC’s Scandal beginning April 3.

Roché broke the news himself this weekend with a series of excited tweets, including this one, which implies his character might have dealings with Guillermo Diaz’s Huck:

* Patrick Brennan (The Black Donnellys) has joined the cast of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D for several episodes, Marvel announced. Brennan will play power-hungry villain Marcus Daniels (aka Blackout) and will make his first appearance in the April 15 episode.
* Scandal‘s Joshua Malina has landed a guest-starring role in CBS’ Steven Spielberg drama Extant, E! Online is reporting. Malina will play Dr. Scott Beck, who’s forced to deliver some disturbing news to Halle Berry’s character Molly.
* Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, formerly of MTV’s Jersey Shore, is getting his own reality show on TV Guide Network. Ordered for eight 30-minute episodes, The Sorrentinos will document the reality star and his “quirky” New Jersey family. A premiere date was not announced.
