Columbus natives Twenty One Pilots add 3rd show at Nationwide Area in October
Twenty One PIlots, who got their start in Columbus in the early 2000s, have added a third show to their hometown stop. The alternative pop pair will perform Oct. 4-6 at Nationwide Arena.
Fans can now participate in an official artist presale for tickets, with all remaining tickets available beginning at 10 a.m. Friday. For all tickets and other details, visit twentyonepilots.com/tour.
“There is nothing like the excitement of a hometown show. We’re anticipating strong demand as fans travel from all around the world to see Twenty One Pilots in the city where it all started," said David Redelberger, director of communications and interactive marketing for Columbus Area Sports & Entertainment.
"Plus, there’s so much love for this band from fans right here in Ohio. We’re always excited to have Tyler and Josh back in the arena!”
Formed in Columbus in 2009 by high school friends Tyler Joseph, Nick Thomas, and Chris Salih, the trio self-released their eponymous debut album the same year before Thomas and Salih left the band in 2011. Joseph then recruited drummer Josh Dun and Twenty One Pilots continued as a duo.
Twenty One Pilots has released six studio albums, with their upcoming seventh, "Clancy" due out in May. They also have earned 10 No. 1 hits on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart, including "Stressed Out" and "Heathens."
