When will 'Twisters' be available to stream? What we know about release date, platform
The summer blockbuster "Twisters" took theaters by storm so far this month, and it may be a bit longer before audiences can stream the film at home.
"Twisters," which premiered July 19, is billed as a current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster "Twister," which also was filmed in Oklahoma, and stars Golden Globe nominees Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell as opposing forces who come together to try to predict — and possibly tame — the immense power of tornadoes. It's directed by Lee Isaac Chung, who filmed his Academy Award-winning drama "Minari" in Tulsa in 2019.

When will Twisters be available to stream?
There is no official streaming release date for "Twisters" yet, but there are a few projections.
Depending on how much money a film makes at the box office, Universal pictures like "Twisters" could be released on Peacock as soon as 45 days after premiering in theaters, Harper's Bazaar reports. Films that make less than $50 million can be released as soon as 17 days.
But because "Twisters" ended up collecting over $80 million domestically at the box office, much of which came from Oklahoma audiences, it may be a while before it debuts on streaming services.
Where to stream Twisters 2024
Because "Twisters" was produced by Universal, it will be available to stream first on Peacock.
It will be available on Peacock for four months, then it will move to Prime Video for ten months, according to an agreement that Universal Studios signed for their live-action movies reports Harper's Bazaar.
Where to watch Twisters
"Twisters" is currently in theaters, where audiences can catch it in standard 2D, IMAX or 4DX.
4D is an immersive format that can include motion-enabled chairs, flashing lights, fog, wind and scents to place the viewer within the film's setting and events.
