Twitter reactions are split over 'Family Guy' savagely mocking Trump
In the latest Family Guy, the writers went after President Trump in the second of a two-part episode centered on Peter and Trump. Family Guy has taken shots at Trump before. During the 2016 Emmy campaign, the show mocked candidate Trump as a “dumb loudmouth.” On Sunday night, Family Guy took a swing at Trump’s hair and hands, as well as his finances.
“Billionaire? Please. You’re worth $700 mil on the high side,” Peter said to Trump. “And most of that is borrowed or tied up and underwater. That’s why you ain’t releasin’ your taxes, Trump. You’re cash poor!”
Tonight’s #FamilyGuy was brilliant!!! Hats off to @SethMacFarlane !!

Fan reaction on Twitter was split on the episode. Those who don’t like Trump loved it, while those who like Trump didn’t find it so funny. First lady Melania Trump probably falls somewhere in that second group, because the writers took aim at her too.
After Peter catches Trump attempting to assault Meg, he says, “What would your third wife — the soft-core, girl-on-girl porn lady — think about this? Or the actual porn star your lawyer paid hush money to?”
Nobody in Trump’s orbit was spared. Vice President Mike Pence, press secretary Sarah Sanders, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell all made unflattering appearances. And the writers couldn’t help but take a shot at Trump’s son-in-law and close adviser, Jared Kushner.
Talking to Meg about a makeover, Ivanka Trump, Kushner’s wife, said, “When I’m done with you, you’ll be pretty enough to marry an Orthodox Jewish son of a felon who’s too stupid to get into Harvard the normal way.” Meg replies, “And whose voice is way higher that you thought it would be?” Right then, Kushner walks in and in a child’s voice says, “Hi, honey. Ready for dinner?”
Trump’s not the only president to get roughed up by Family Guy. In the past, it has mocked Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Family Guy airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Fox. Watch clips and full episodes of Family Guy for free on Yahoo View.
