Tyla Pays Homage to Rihanna in ‘Push 2 Start’ Video Wearing DSquared2’s Riri Heels
More from Footwear News
Tyla is serving up exquisite footwear in her latest music video “Push 2 Start.” Most notably is the iconic pair of DSquared2 Riri Sandals at the start of the video, which were famously inspired by fellow singer Rihanna.
In the music video, we find the South African songstress in the same gladiator-esque pair of strappy sandals that were named after Rihanna. We first saw the Fenty Beauty mogul don the pair at a Travis Scott show in New York City in 2015.
Adorned with a lace-up design extending up to the thighs, these sandals are crafted from black Python skin. The laces cascade elegantly around the legs, perched atop a striking stiletto heel. Originally, these sandals retailed for $1,900. Rihanna also kicked back in a red pair of the style for the 2017 Met Gala.
Back in 2015, the gladiator sandal and knee-high boot reigned supreme in the fashion world, captivating style enthusiasts and fashionistas alike. These iconic footwear choices symbolized bold expression and elevated everyday ensembles.
The gladiator sandal, with its intricate straps and buckles, harked back to ancient Roman warriors, exuding a sense of strength and confidence. Fashion enthusiasts embraced the gladiator sandal for its versatility, as it effortlessly transitioned from casual beachwear to chic evening attire. The adjustable straps allow for a customized fit, ensuring comfort and stability throughout the day.
On the other hand, the knee-high boot exuded a sophisticated and edgy vibe. With its sleek silhouette and varying heel heights, the knee-high boot offered a range of options to suit different preferences. Style icons paired knee-high boots with mini dresses, skirts, and skinny jeans, creating a cohesive and visually striking look.
With her affinity for bold silhouettes, vibrant colors, and mixed textures, Tyla has a penchant for striking footwear. During the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she took the stage in a pair of dazzling Rene Caovilla heels, solidifying her status as a footwear lover.
