Tyla To Perform For Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Return
Tyla is set to bring her talents to the runway with Victoria’s Secret. The Grammy-winning performer has been named a musical headliner of the lingerie brand’s fashion show return. Exclusively reported by Rolling Stone on Wednesday (Sept. 18) the company promises more surprises in social media announcements, teasing an all-female lineup.
The 22-year-old joins Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, and more models showcasing VS fashions and additional custom looks designed exclusively for the event.
Victoria’s Secret explains Tyla’s “vibrant personality” and “innovative take on pop and R&B,” made her the perfect choice.
“Growing up, I was captivated by the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – the stunning outfits, iconic wings, and charismatic models,” the “Water” singer detailed in a statement. “Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special.”
The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is set to officially return on Oct. 15 after a hiatus initiated after the 2019 cancellation. Cher has also been announced as a musical headliner for this year’s fashion-forward affair.
“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” wrote VS on Instagram announcing the event. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is [sparkle emoji] BACK [sparkle emoji] and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more!
