Tyler Christopher's 2 Kids: All About Greysun and Boheme
General Hospital star Tyler Christopher welcomed two children, son Greysun and daughter Boheme, before his death in October 2023
Tyler Christopher's legacy will live on through his children.
The Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who died on Oct. 31, 2023, following a cardiac arrest in his San Diego home, was a father of two. He shared son Greysun, 14, and daughter Boheme, 8, with his wife, former ESPN reporter Brienne Pedigo. He and Pedigo married in 2008, though reportedly divorced in 2021.
Tyler's General Hospital costar Maurice Benard confirmed the actor's death on Instagram, writing, "It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher."
He continued, "Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him. ... We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father."
The Days of Our Lives alum first became a father in 2009 when his son was born. Nearly six years later, he welcomed his daughter.
Tyler frequently shared photos and videos of his two children on Instagram, celebrating their milestones and honoring them on their birthdays. In September 2022, he opened up about the joys of parenting Greysun and Boheme, writing alongside a selfie of the three of them, "Never again will I take for granted spending time with my children doing all the little things that never before seemed monumental but are now everything to me."
He added, "Playing with my children has always brought the greatest joy. I am grateful for this new chapter in my life for the time it allows me to be close to them."
Tyler also spoke about fatherhood during a 2022 conversation on Benard's podcast, State of Mind. The actor revealed that while he didn't live with his children (Greysun and Boheme were in Indiana while Tyler resided in California), he made it a point to see them every month. "Every month I take three days out of my time, and that's what I go do because that's all I have," he explained.
Here's everything to know about Tyler Christopher's two kids, Greysun and Boheme.
Greysun James, 14
Tyler and Pedigo welcomed their first child, son Greysun James, on Oct. 3, 2009. The couple first announced the news they were expecting in April, writing they were "thrilled" on Tyler's official website.
Greysun seemingly takes after his father when it comes to acting. He landed a role in his school's stage production of Matilda The Musical in January 2022 — which Tyler dubbed a "proud dad moment" on Instagram.
"Congratulations to my brilliant son, Greysun James Christopher, who landed a role in his school production of Matilda," Tyler captioned a photo of Greyson holding a "Congratulations" balloon. "He will undoubtedly shine on stage."
A few months later, Tyler and Greysun's little sister Boheme were in the audience for Greysun's performance as Nigel in the show. The General Hospital alum wrote he was "overwhelmed with pride" after seeing his son on stage, adding, "He has that special something that attracts all eyes to him on stage and reveled in the spotlight. Beautiful night and grateful to have been there."
During Tyler's interview with Benard in March 2022, he shared that he tried to FaceTime his son every day. He also recalled Greysun's mature response when Tyler asked the then-12-year-old what he could do better as a father.
"Like a grown man, he says to me — looks me straight in the eye — 'Don't talk to me like such an adult,' " he said. "I knew exactly what he meant because I try to overcompensate for what I didn't have growing up."
Boheme, 8
Tyler and Pedigo welcomed their second child, daughter Boheme, on May 3, 2015.
When she was a toddler, Tyler often posted photos of Boheme's cutest moments, including her enjoying a summertime popsicle, munching on a cookie and expressing her love for Tom Brady.
Now 8 years old, Boheme counts dance as one of her interests. In April 2022, Tyler shared photos of Boheme from a recent dance recital. While the actor could not attend Boheme's recital in person, he did watch her perform on a live stream.
"My heart overflowed when she called Sunday evening and shared every detail with me," Tyler wrote on Instagram. "This girl is walking sunshine and my motivation to be the best father I can be."
Later that year, Boheme took to the stage again, performing as a mouse in an Indianapolis production of The Nutcracker. "I will be there on opening night bursting with pride over this sweet girl," he captioned two photos of Boheme in costume on Instagram.
During his appearance on State of Mind in 2022, Tyler admitted that his daughter — then 6 — struggled to understand why he wasn't around all the time. "I can hear it in her voice," he said, adding of Boheme, "To her, she just woke up one day and Dad's gone. ... It doesn't make sense to her."
He added that he tried to shower Boheme with love. "That's all I do. That's all I can do," he shared.
Tyler often expressed his love for his daughter on her birthday. In 2021, he shared a heartfelt tribute to Boheme on her 6th birthday. "Happy birthday my beautiful Boheme," he captioned a photo of Boheme wearing a red star-patterned dress. "I thank God for you everyday. I cherish every second of the last six years and your heart is a symbol of perfection. Remember what I told you…You are the Master of your fate. You are the Captain of your soul. Take the journey and you will triumph. I love you."
He shared similar sentiments on her 7th birthday the following year, writing, "You are the sunshine in my days and stars in my night. Your joyous soul fills my heart. You always bring love and laughter to our Sunday calls that I live for. I love you every day and will forever be your Daddy. ??."
