Tyler, the Creator has announced a new album. On Thursday (Oct. 17), the California native revealed cover art for CHROMAKOPIA due later this month.

In the artwork, text spelling out the all-caps album title is seen in a deep green color with horns curving upwards from the first and last letter of the name. Tyler, the Creator himself wears a dark mask over his face. Also wearing a button-up blouse and what appears to be a leather overcoat, he reaches his hand out in the black and white image.

All songs written, produced, and arranged by Tyler Okonma,” details the cover.

The album announcement comes the day after the Grammy-winning artist dropped the teaser titled ST. CHROMA. In the almost minute-and-a-half clip, Tyler, the Creator leads a group of individuals in the same white t-shirt and black blazer outfit into a CHROMAKOPIA-labeled shipping trailer. The video turns to color just as someone detonates the container with the men inside.

“I built a path to freedom ’cause them words that he said/ Give a f**k about traditions, stop impressin’ the dead,” whispers the 33-year-old over the looming instrumental. He continues to rhyme, “I ain’t never had a doubt inside me/ And if I ever told you that I did, I’m f**kin’ lyin’.”

While few details have been released of the likely conceptual work, Daniel Caesar revealed he played a part in CHROMAKOPIA’s creation. Fans can preorder a box set edition of the album and merchandise on the official website.

The album, which is set for release on Oct. 28 via Columbia Records, follows Tyler, the Creator’s 2021 work Call Me When You Get Lost, which VIBE named the best Hip-Hop release of that year. Check it out below.
