Tyler, the Creator is gearing up for the release of his new album “Chromakopia” with the simultaneous release of his new song and video for “Noid.”

“Noid” is a meditation on the rapper’s paranoia in being a public figure and his lack of privacy. Actress Ayo Edebiri appears in the video as a crazed fan who runs up on Tyler with tears streaming down her face (and a gun in hand) as Tyler sings, “Feel it in my aura, living between cameras and recorders.”

The rest of the visuals see Tyler on the run from invisible figures that appear to manifest in his mind. In one instance, he stands alone in a room gazing at his reflection in a mirror where a man holds a gun to his head, and in another, he’s swinging his fists at nobody in particular in a parking lot.

“Noid” is the latest tease ahead of “Chromakopia,” which he announced last week would arrive on Oct. 28. Accompanying the album announcement was a two-minute clip for a song entitled “St. Chroma” that showed a masked Tyler leading a series of masked people marching through the desert.

“Chromakopia” marks the first new music from Tyler since last year’s expanded version of his 2021 album “Call Me If You Get Lost.” He plans to perform music from “Chromakopia” for the first time at his Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, which touches down at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium on Nov. 16-17. The festival is set to feature additional performances from Erykah Badu, André 3000, Omar Apollo, Playboi Carti, Doechii, Kaytranada, the Marias and more.
