Is Tyler Hynes married?
Hallmark fans will be happy to learn that Tyler Hynes is on the market. The Canadian actor is currently single and has yet to tie the knot. Hynes is very private when it comes to his dating life, so not much is known about his past relationships, but he was previously linked to Miami-based model Raquel Natasha. According to Blurred Reality, rumors first began swirling that the pair were an item back in 2017, when Hynes posted a since-deleted photo of Natasha and her dog, captioned: “Missing my girls.”

Around the same time, Hynes mentioned having a girlfriend during an October 2018 interview with the blog My Devotional Thoughts. “My girlfriend opened up my Twitter the other day, and I haven’t been on there in so long. She told me I had so many followers,” he said, adding: “I don’t know if I had looked at it since I was on Saving Hope.” The relationship was never officially confirmed by either party, but it appears to have fizzled out.
The only time Hynes has publicly spoken about his dating life was during a 2023 Facebook Live for his movie A Picture of Her. “I think a ride on a back of a motorcycle is never really a bad thing,” Hynes said when asked what is ideal date would be. “I like when things go the way they’re supposed to and if you don’t quite know how that evening is gonna go down, I think that’s all the more fun and it feels like it becomes something organic to the situation, to the person that you’re across from,” he continued. “Trying to contrive something that feels like an idea of what a date should be is probably not how I would go about it.”
As for his family life, Hynes does not have any children, but he is a devoted dog dad to his pup Rusty James, whom he adopted in May 2020. “The boy wishes to thank you all for the birthday wishes. He saw them all on March 9th, and his ego has grown considerably since then,” he captioned a May 2023 photo of Rusty wearing a birthday hat and sitting in front of a steak with a number three candle in it. Hynes even brought Rusty with him to ChristmasCon in 2022, later posting a photo of the adorable dog on the red carpet.

Additionally, Hynes is related to his Three Wise Men and a Baby co-star Andrew Walker through marriage. “Tyler is my wife [Cassandra Troy’s] cousin,” Walker told Us Weekly in February 2023. “We talk weekly. I’ve known the guy for 19 years since he started coming to her house for Christmases when I first met my wife. So we have a deep, deep, deep appreciation for each other.”
In the film, Hynes, Walker and Paul Campbell, play three brothers who are forced to work together to care of a baby during the holidays, all while rebuilding their relationships as brothers and rediscovering their love for Christmas. The movie was the most-watched cable TV movie of 2022 and has since spawned a sequel, which will premiere later this year.
