Tyler Perry dropped more than $430K to pay off Walmart layaways: 'Go get your stuff, Merry Christmas!'
Who needs Santa Claus when you have Tyler Claus?
Tyler Perry is in the giving spirit this holiday season, as he just dropped $434,000 to pay off shoppers’ layaways at Walmart. Shortly after TMZ reported that the director and actor had written big checks to two stores in the Atlanta area, Perry confirmed the news on Twitter.
“I was trying to do this anonymously, but due to some circumstances ya’ll know how nothing stays secret these days, so I just wanted to go ahead and tell you,” Perry explained in a video before listing the addresses of the two Walmart stores where the layaways were paid off.
“If you have a layaway at either place and it was in there as of 9:30 this morning … I have paid for all of your layaways for Christmas,” Perry continued. “So Merry Christmas to everybody — you’ve gotta go into the Walmart and get your layaway, pay a penny — one penny — and you get your layaway.”
Perry added, “I know it’s hard times, a lot of people are struggling, and I’m just really, really grateful to be able to be in a position to do this. So God bless you, go get your stuff, Merry Christmas!”

May God continue to bless you ? Acts of kindness like this mean so much. Personally, I was the kid that wouldn’t have gifts without the kindness of strangers.
