U.S. Olympic Swimmer Erin Gemmell Makes Taylor Swift Friendship Bracelets in Olympic Village: 'Swiftie First, Olympian Second'
If making Taylor Swift-themed friendship bracelets was an Olympic sport, Erin Gemmell would probably win gold.
The Team USA swimmer recently showed just how dedicated she is to being a Swiftie while taking a break at the 2024 Paris Olympics to make some friendship bracelets with her roommate, fellow swimmer Torri Huske.
Gemmell, 19, shared a TikTok video from the Olympic village earlier this week to show her followers how she has been keeping busy when not competing—and Swifties are sure that "Karma" songstress would be proud.
"me and my suite mate making bracelets in the olympic village for her taylor swift concert because there's always time for taylor," Gemmell wrote across the video, which showed her and Huske churning out beaded bracelets inspired by the music superstar.

In addition to five rings they placed in the shape of the Olympic rings, the two athletes made some very fitting bracelets to represent their Olympic run, including one red, white and blue bracelet that read "Ms Americana," inspired by the title for Swift's track "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince" off her Lover album.
Another bracelet, with red, white and blue stars, read "Paris," which is not only the host city for the 2024 Games, but it's also the title of a song off Swift's Midnights album.
"@Taylor Swift please tell us you watch swimming," Gemmell wrote in her caption, while fans flocked to the comments to praise their fellow Swiftie.
"swiftie first, olympian second," one fan wrote under Gemmell's post, while someone else added, "I love the swiftie swimmers !!"
"This is the energy," another fan gushed, while further praising the duo by writing, "gold medals for both of you."
