Unlocking the Archive: When Aaron Tippin graced the stage at the Ross County Fair
The Ross County Fair has had many headliners over the years, and in 2003 it was Aaron Tippin.
Tippin was introduced to the crowd by his then-5-year-old son Teddy who yelled out, "Welcome by dadda, Aarooon Tippin!"
In a pre-show interview with the Gazette Tippin said, "This is what American is to me. I was raised a country kid. This is livin'. This is where it's at."
He said growing up in South Carolina, the fair and Christmas were two important things to him.
"There's no better smell than a cross between corn dogs and cow poop," he said.
