1. Joy of Life Season 2
As per CCTV8‘s tentative schedule for May 2024, Joy of Life Season 2 will premiere on May 16, 2024. The drama features Zhang Ruo Yun in the lead role. It is part two of the Joy of Life trilogy. Part one tells the story of Fan Xian (Zhang Ruo Yun), a boy who was born into a prosperous family but was abandoned. He slowly starts to realize that he possesses memories from a distant time. Season two will follow his journey as he attempts to prove his worth as a martial arts practitioner.
Joy of Life Season 2 will be available to stream on CCTV8 and Tencent Video.
2. Men in Love
This Hu Yitian and Liang Jie starrer will premiere on May 3, 2024. It portrays the stories of different couples dealing with relationship issues. While some struggle in a love triangle, others deal with issues in a seemingly peaceful marriage. After several chance encounters with Xiaoxiao (Liang Jie), Ye Han (Hu Yitian) falls for her but does not dare to confess. Meanwhile, she secretly falls for someone else.

3. Regeneration
This upcoming suspense C-drama will premiere on May 6, 2024, on Youku and Netflix. It features Zhou Yi Ran and Jing Bo Ran in the lead roles. He Shan (Zhou Yi Ran) meets five strangers at a funeral service who know different versions of the deceased man. As complications arise, they must work together to solve the conundrum and reveal who he really was.
4. Reblooming Blue
This romantic C-drama is set to release on May 8, 2024. After Chen Xiao Man (Victoria Song) loses her job in the city, she has no other choice but to return to her hometown. She dreamed of investing in her family business, but now she has no clue how to get her career back on track. Meanwhile, Ke Yan (Vic Zhou), Xiao Man’s superior at work, also visits the same town after facing a career setback. Ke Yan guides her and helps her become an entrepreneur.

5. What If
This C-drama premieres on May 6, 2024, and features Zhong Chu Xi, Liu Xue Yi, and Lin Yu Shen in the main roles. It follows the story of Xia Guo (Zhong Chu Xi) as she struggles to choose between living a comfortable life with her boyfriend in her hometown and moving out to become a career woman in the city. Xia Guo is bored with her monotonous life and desperately seeks an escape.
