New & Upcoming K-Dramas 2024: Marry My Husband, Doctor Slump & More
The year 2023 consisted of many wonderful Korean dramas, such as My Demon, Twinkling Watermelon, and The Worst of Evil. Now it’s time for new and upcoming K-Dramas 2024.
The popular franchises’ like Song Kang’s Sweet Home and Oscar-nominated Squid Game will return with new seasons. The release dates have not been announced yet, however, reports suggest that Sweet Home season 3 will premiere in the summer 2024, while Squid Game will be released at the year’s end.
Meanwhile, some of the much-awaited new dramas include Park Min-Young’s Marry My Husband and Park Hyun-Sik’s Doctor Slump.

Marry My Husband
Marry My Husband is the highly anticipated K-drama 2024, starring What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’s Park Min-Young. She plays Kang Ji-Won, who is married and is the breadwinner of her family, which consists of a selfish husband and a demanding mother-in-law.
One day, her world turns upside down when she finds out that she has cancer and that her husband is a cheater. He has an affair with her close friend. During a heated argument, he kills Ji-Won. When she wakes up, she learns that she has traveled back to 10 years. Ji-Won decides to change her fate and seek revenge on her husband.
Marry My Husband will premiere on tvN on January 1, 2024, at 8.50 pm KST on Mondays and Tuesdays. It will also stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Doctor Slump
Doctor Slump is the 2024 K-Drama, starring Park Hyung-Sik as Yeo Jung-Woo and Park Shin-Hye as Nam Ha-Neul. Both of them work in the medical industry and are geniuses in their respective fields. In the past, they were rivals.
Fate brings them together at the worst phase of their lives. Jung-Woo’s career is affected after a medical accident while Ha-Neul realizes she has never experienced fun. As they hit rock bottom, they take a break and find comfort in each other’s company.
It will premiere on January 27, 2024, on Saturdays and Sundays on JTBC. The drama will also be available on Netflix.
Love Song for Illusion
Based on a Naver webtoon, Love Song for Illusion is the much-awaited K-drama 2024. It is a historical fantasy series about Yeon-Wol (Hong Ye-Ji), the royal descendant of the fallen Yeon Dynasty who wants to seek revenge for her family’s death. Hence, she turns into an assassin named Gye Ra and hides her real identity. During her quest for revenge to assassinate the King, she falls into a trap and loses her memory.
She meets Crown Prince Hyun (Park Ji-Hoon), who lives with a dual personality. The intellectual prince’s other personality is of a charming person named Ak Hee. He is cursed to feel pain when touched by anyone. What happens when the lead characters fall in love is the crux of the drama.
The drama will premiere on KBS2 on January 1, 2024, on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Flower That Blooms at Night
Flower That Blooms at Night (K-Drama 2024) is adapted from a webtoon. The story revolves around Jo Yeo-Hwa (Honey Lee), a widow from a noble family in the Joseon era. She is the dutiful daughter-in-law during the day but a masked hero at night.
One day, she helps a handsome military officer, Park Soo-Ho (Lee Jong-Won). After several sudden encounters, Yeo-Hwa starts to dream about her future with him. The drama will premiere on January 12, 2024, at 9.50 pm KST on Fridays and Saturdays on MBC.
Queen of Divorce
Queen of Divorce is another upcoming K-Drama 2024. It stars Penthouse’s Lee Ji-Ah as Sara Kim and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’s Kang K-Young as Dong Ki-Joon. They run a divorce settlement firm that helps married people punish their “bad spouses.”
After Kim’s husband backstabbed her, she opened her own firm and partnered up with famous prosecutor Ki-Joon. They are the problem solvers who bring justice to their clients who are wronged by their spouses.
The 2024 K-Drama will premiere on January 31 on JTBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
