Deadpool and Wolverine
Release Date: July 26, 2024
The next Marvel film coming out, and judging from how many saw the Super Bowl trailer (30 million), the biggest in years. According to the latest rumors, we’re about to see Deadpool get involved in milestone Marvel moments as he goes on a grand time-traveling escapade with Hugh Jackman’s reluctant Wolverine.
Agatha
Release Date: Fall 2024
First called House of Harkness, then Coven of Chaos, then Darkhold Diaries, the one constant in this Disney+ series seems to be Agatha herself, played by the ever brilliant Kathryn Hahn. A spin-off from 2021 series WandaVision, it sees bad witch Agatha break from confinement in Westview, New Jersey, and seek to regain her powers.
Eyes of Wakanda
Premiere Date: 2024
Director Ryan Coogler returns to Wakanda with this series set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Rather than live-action, however, this is entirely animated. According to the official synopsis, “Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.”
Ironheart
Release Date: 2025
This Disney+ series follows robotics genius Riri Williams (Dominque Thorne), who builds a suit of armor even more advanced than Tony Stark’s Iron Man. Riri debuted in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and is rumored cross paths with fellow Marvel youngsters Kamala Khan and Kate Bishop.
Daredevil: Born Again
Release Date: 2025
After filming wrapped in April 2024, Daredevil: Born Again is set for a launch on Disney+ in 2025. Reports say it features 18 episodes, almost double that of other Marvel series, divided into nine-episode halves, and ties into Phase Five of the MCU. Given it features Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal as Kingpin and Punisher, could we finally be seeing them on the big screen soon?
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Release Date: 2025
Following hot on the heels of unlikely animated hit X-Men 97, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man harkens back to Peter Parker’s comic book origins - with some fresh twists to avoid a cliched rehash. For example, the series is rumored to include an alternative Hulk called Amadeus Cho, a Wakandan exchange student, Nico Minoru from the Runaways team, and a new crush who isn’t Mary Jane or Gwen Stacey.
Captain America: Brave New World
Release Date: February 14, 2025
After Deadpool and Wolverine comes Marvel’s next biggest blockbuster. It sees former Falcon Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) pick up the mantle of Captain America, and deal with all the problems that came with it. A behind-the-scenes clip at CinemaCon revealed Wilson meeting Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross and having a big fight at the White House.
Thunderbolts
Release Date: May 2, 2025
Suicide Squad by Marvel - that’s the easiest way of explaining Thunderbolts. It follows a group of antiheroes embarking on a dangerous mission for the American government, and features Bucky Barnes, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and Taskmaster. Marvel’s Thunderbolts star Florence Pugh revealed her new costume in a behind-the-scenes video.
The Fantastic Four
Release Date: July 25, 2025
There’s never been a good Fantastic Four film. That’s all set to change with this retro-styled superhero team-up telling the story of Marvel’s first family. In February 2024, we were introduced to Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the main cast, with Julia Garner later revealed as the Silver Surfer. There’s still a big villain-shaped hole, though - perfect for Doctor Doom or Galactus.
Blade
Release Date: November 7, 2025
Mahershala Ali plays Blade, a ‘Daywalker’ who possesses most vampire strengths and none of their weaknesses. The film was originally meant to come out in 2023, and has had numerous published script rewrites since. What we do know is that it’ll be bloody. In a November 2023, interview director, Yann Demange told Deadline "They gave me the R, which is so important.”
Armor Wars
Release Date: TBA
Don Cheadle finally gets his starring role in this big screen action-adventure following what happens when Tony Stark’s tech falls into the wrong hands. Cheadle is back in the War Machine armor, with Sam Rockwell returning as Justin Hammer. Julia Louis-Dreyfus also reprises her role as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and Walton Goggins' mobster Sonny Burch is here too, last seen in Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Marvel Zombies
Release Date: TBA
An animated series asking the question: what happens to the Avengers in a zombie apocalypse? They turn into zombies of course. Based on 2005-2006 comic book miniseries by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Marvel Zombies will feature zombie versions of Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Abomination, Scarlet Witch, and more.
Shang-Chi 2
Release Date: TBA
Shang-Chi 2 is definitely happening. Simu Liu even wrote on Instagram recently, “I promise it’s happening.” What he didn’t say is what the sequel to 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be about. With that film ending with Sorcerer Supreme Wong recruiting Shang-Chi into the Avengers, some classic superhero team-up action might be on the cards.
Spider-Man 4
Release Date: TBA
We’ve never had a fourth Spider-Man movie in a cinematic run, but Tom Holland’s take on the character is so popular that’s all set to change. The last one, 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, is the highest-grossing Spider-Man film ever. Holland told Deadline in April 2024 of Spider-Man 4 pre-production, “It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things."
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
Release Date: May 1, 2026
The release date is locked in. Everything else? Not so much. Marvel parted ways with Kang actor Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in 2023. Meanwhile, director Destin Daniel Cretton also dropped out. That’s why, according to THR report, Marvel is said to be dropping the name The Kang Dynasty for Avengers 5.
Wonder Man
Release Date: TBA
Destin Daniel Cretton dropped out of directing Avengers 5 to focus on this, a series based on the Marvel comics character of the same name. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to star as Simon Williams, an actor and stuntperson who gains superpowers to become the hero Wonder Man. Ben Kingsley will also reprise his role as Trevor Slattery.
Nova
Release Date: TBA
Following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, this follows Richard Rider, a normal man recruited into the newly reformed Nova Corps to apprehend intergalactic criminals. However, during his job he uncovers a vast conspiracy within the Nova Corps. While not officially revealed, rumors say Tanner Gillman is set to star as Richard Rider/Nova, with John C. Reilly and Glenn Close reprising their roles as Nova Corps members.
Avengers: Secret Wars
Release Date: May 7, 2027
The farthest-along film Marvel is comfortable revealing, but potentially the grandest of all time. It’ll be the final instalment of Phase Six and The Multiverse Saga, promising the mother of all team-ups. Who’s going to appear? According to rumors, literally everyone.
