Usher Gets Groovy With Cover of Daniel Caesar and H.E.R.’s ‘Best Part’
Usher is sharing the stage with the “finest voices” of the UK, Serena Prince and Teni Tinks, for a special cover. While visiting BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, Usher performed his own rendition of Daniel Caesar and H.E.R.’s “Best Part” backed by the pair of vocalists singing H.E.R.’s part.
During the performance, Usher walked around the studio to stand alongside Tinks and Prince as he adlibbed and harmonized with their stunning vocals. “Don’t play like this,” Usher joked. “There’s enough of me to go around.”

Usher then sang Caesar’s verse: “You’re my water when I’m stuck in the desert/You’re the Tylenol I take when my head hurts/You’re the sunshine on my life.”
Also, while visiting the Live Lounge, Usher performed his single “Good Good,” which originally featured 21 Savage and Summer Walker. During the performance, he shouted out each of his band members, which he described as part of “Black Magic.”
Usher said this visit marked his third time visiting BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. During his visit in 2012, Usher performed a cover of Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.” And in 2016, he performed a rendition of the Chainsmokers and Daya’s “Don’t Let Me Down.”
The Live Lounge performance comes a few weeks after Roc Nation, NFL, and Apple Music revealed that Usher would headline the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to
bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement at the time. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
This year, he dropped “Good Good,” “Dientes,” with J Balvin and DJ Khaled,” and the solo cut “Boyfriend.” (The latter track notably arrived with a music video featuring Keke Palmer, whom Usher had serenaded during his Vegas show earlier that year.)
